Here i am back with my first post titled '7 Important Things To Do Before Publishing Your Blog Post'
So Let's Begin,
As we all know that Blogs per day are increasing day by day because blogs are the most convenient way to express your ideas and earn good amounts of money.
But many bloggers forget some important thins and make mistakes everyday.Some of the common mistakes are:
- Not using images in their posts - Important for search rankings
- Adding Title and alt tags in images - Important for search rankings
- Adding H2 and H3 Tags - Important for search rankings
- Call to action (Will explain it below) - Important to get your readers attention
- Linking other blog posts - Important in reducing bounce rate
- Proofreading - Important to avoid grammar mistakes
- Giving it a powerful title(you should do it first) - Important to get your readers attention
Let me explain each point below.
1. Using Images
Most bloggers forget to use images in their blog posts which in turn affects on the most important thing and that thing is:
- Google Rankings
- Yes,Rankings depend on keywords but what about the traffic of the image you are going to get?
You would have noticed on Google that whenever you type any query like '7 Important Things To Do Before Publishing Your Blog Post' then there is a tab of image too.Right?.
That's what was going to bring you traffic if you would have used a good image in your blog post with caption and alt tags that were going to bring you a +1 Visitor.So will you start adding some images in your blog post?
2. Adding Title and Alt tags in images.
- This is yet again one of the most important factor as discussed above in 'Using Images' Point.
Refer to point 1 again to get a good estimate of this factor and what it might affect.Hope you will add titles in your images after reading this.
3. Adding H2 and H3 tags.
Looks like there is one more question in your mind and that is 'Why should i use H2 and H3 tags'
- And in one line the answer is 'To get more attention and For better Search engines rankings'
Yes,Adding H2 or H3 tags gives you better search engines rankings and play a major role in getting attention of your visitors.So you should always add some tags in your blog post before clicking the 'Publish' button.So will you start using them now?
4. Call to action text
- Call to action text is Asking your readers some questions which they can answer via commenting.
It encourages your readers to comment which helps a lot to make other readers leave a comment through which your blog will grow at a rapid rate.You should always use Call to action text as it is really helpful to know whether your readers even read your full blog post or not.So,will you start adding a call to action text now?
5. Linking Blog Posts
Linking blog posts is also one of the major thing to keep your visitor on the blog and one of the most important thing to do before publishing your blog post.It helps to reduce bounce rate and gives your blog an extra boost in a page view. The lesser the bounce rate the better.Bounce rate tells everything about your writing style.If it is liked by the visitor,then he would also like to have a visit to another post and afterwards that unique visitor will convert into a returning visitor.
6. Proofreading
You should cross check your article that there are no mistakes.Any mistake would make your reader think that you are weak in grammar and making the visitor leave a bad comment and never visit your blog again.You should proofread you article at least one time before publishing it.
7. A Powerful title
You should give your post a powerful title so that the user after reading the title just visits your blog post,Not only visit but actually read your whole blog post.The title describes your blog post in a line.
If the reader likes your title then he will surely like the post too.Title should also be unique to get better rankings in Search engines.
