What Advertisers Really Look For In A Blog?

There are many ways to monetize a blog, many bloggers use Google Adsense or some sort of direct advertisements to earn from their blogs.

So here i am with my next article on 'What Advertisers Really Look For In A Blog?'
You will discover a lot about it after reading this article.

What an advertiser looks in your blog for advertising?

  • Blog Popularity
  • Traffic Stats
  • Single Niche
  • Alexa Rank
These are all of the factors that an advertiser looks in your blog. Now let's study about them in detail.

1. Blog's Popularity

It is one of the main factor that an advertiser looks for in a blog.Your blog should have decent amounts of traffic and your blog should be submitted to many top directories because advertiser looks in directories to find a blog that is suitable for his advertisement and surely he will start from directories to begin his search. If you have not yet submitted your blog to directories then you can start from here.

2. Traffic Stats

Advertisers are more interested in traffic because traffic is what will give them some clicks on the banner and through which they will receive traffic. So,if you have decent amounts of traffic then you can easily attract an advertiser towards you.The more the traffic, the more the advertiser will pay you. So,you should also focus a little bit on traffic.

3. Single Niche - read my article

As I have already written an article on Single Topic Vs Multi Topic Blog Which is better and why?. Read it and you will clearly find that Single topic blog is the best to blog.Just let me give you an example:
You want to find an advertiser for you music CDs and you have following two choices:
  •  A blog that writes about music and receives 2000 visitors daily.
  • A blog that writes about music, health, and tech and receives 4000 visitors daily.
You will clearly advertise on first blog because it is based on your topic and does not write about anything else.Traffic matters, but not always.

4. Alexa Rank - Should be good

Alexa rank is again another thing that advertiser look for.If you have a good alexa rank then probably you will attract a lot of advertisers. But i don't find alexa rank that useful though because their counting system of visitors and ranking a blog is really what i don't like.Even if you blog receives 200 Views daily. There is a probability that none of them gets counted on alexa. You should focus though.

So,this were my recommendations on what an advertiser looks for in a blog.

Single Topic Or Multi Topic? Which To Choose?

This is a very common question that many blogger ask-
    • Should I blog on one topic or on multiple topics.
    • Should I create one blog for multiple topics.
One thing i want to clear here is, in the blogging world topics is termed as niche.
One of the most important question you should ask yourself before writing any article is:
    • On what topic should i write about ?
Many new bloggers think that if they write about multiple topics they will be able to attract more readers. Just tell me one thing, which one do you like from these below images. You will get the answer. Before you go with the images, let me tell you this perception is not correct.

    First Image-
    Blogs with multiple topics

    Or the second one-
    Blogs with single topic

I am sure your answer will be the second one because in second image everything is not mashed up. And that is what readers like the most. Below i am going to explain as why the second image is best.

Here is the some important cons that will cause if you will use the first option:
    • You won't be able to create readership for your blog.
    • Your blog will be never be good at SEO.
    • Making money from your blog will be tough.
So let's start with all the above points in detail -

    1. It will be hard to create readership for your blog

Just tell me what is the first reason why a user subscribe ; If you subscribe to our blog for blogging tips and suddenly we will start sending you about health care, Will you feel good ?

Your answer will be definitely -No

So, that is what a user feels. It is better to create a blog on ONE topic/domain.

    2. Your blog will never be good at SEO

Just imagine, you are a search engine and you want to select a blog about blogging tips, which one will you select in the top result:
    • A blog that write about blogging tips.
    • A blog that write about blogging tips, games, softwares etc.
Which one will you select ?

Definitely you will select first one. And this is what a search engine wants. So don't try to write the post on multiple area. Just select one area and write many post on that itself.

    3. Making money will be very tough

Now let's start with the lat but most important point - Making money from your website and it will be difficult in this case. But Why ?

Yes, It is true that multiple niche blogs drive more traffic but is it worth it. The visitors are more but the advertisers will pay less. Now again you will think, if visitor will be more the why advertiser will pay less ?

Let us take an example:Let us assume you have a company that sells Music CDs. Now you have to select between these two blogs:
    • Blog no. 1 - Gets 1000 Views per day and writes about music
    • Blog no. 2 - Gets 2000 Views per day and writes about games, software, blogging and many more..
Which blog will be an idle blog for the advertisement of your product ?

The Answer would be blog no. 1. Though blog No. 1 receives less views per day but it's content is related to your product. Advertiser's will never select the blogs which are based on multiple topics. The same applies here also.
    Conclusion.Which To Choose?:

And here we come to the conclusion of the above discussion. This was all about Single Topic Vs Multi-Topic blog: Which Is Better And Why?. Hope after reading this article, you must have had decided you will not go with the Multi topic blog.

    • Not making a schedule for writing
    • Not writing ON-TOPIC
    • Not Answering Comments
    • Not focusing on images

So,without wasting time let us start:

    1. Not Making Blogger Friends:
Are you not making blogger friends? If i ask you this question there will be an answer in your mind and that is.Why the hell should i make blogger friends?.
There are a lot of advantages of making blogger friends like:
    • They suggest you some articles to write on

If you have a schedule of writing then definitely you can acheive a great amount of traffic.
Because your readers will keep visiting at that time. But if you don't they will visit two-three times and will not have a visit again.Because they know they won't find anything on your blog.

    You would feel quite bad.Right?
That is what your users feel. They feel ashamed if you don't answer their comments. And Probably they never return on your site/blog.

    5. Not focusing on images.
Many New Bloggers don't type caption for their images from which they loose 2 things and those two things are:
    • Search Traffic
    • That first thing is enough to loose everything

I'm sorry actually for not saying those two things. But the major thing is only one and that is you will never get search traffic from Images if you don't type caption and title.
    And
You should also try to use as good Images as possible which suit your Article/post.

    Conclusion :
So you should avoid all the common mistakes that every blogger makes and become a pro blogger.
Did you also do a mistake that we should list here?
Say it all in the comments.

How To Choose An Effective Template For Your Blog?

    Hey Bloggers!

Here Is Yet Another Article,Which Is About 'How To Choose An Effective Template For Your Blog'.

After going through this article, you are going to learn the below exciting points:
    •  Know Your Purpose
    • Template Should Be Responsive
    • Template Should Be Fast
    • Test Your Images
    • Choose A Simple Yet Attractive Template
    • Ask Your Users. How It Looks? Is It User Friendly?
    • Don't Modify It Too Much
    • Choose Good Combination Of Colors
    • Don't Flood With ADS

    1. Know Your Purpose:

You Want To Start A Website/Blog Right?

And You Don't Even Know What Will Be Your Blog's Niche.
Just Imagine 'If you go to a shop of clothes and you don't even find a single piece of cloth there', what will be your feeling ?.In simple words you will feel Terrible. That's what a user feels.

The same a visitor to your blog feels when they visits your site and does not even find a Post related to domain's niche. So you better Know Your Purpose.

    2. Responsiveness:

    Try to choose responsive templates

First of all one question to you 'what a responsive template is' and if your answer is 'a template that is fast' then please read the below-

Responsive template does not mean that the template has to be fast, but indeed it should support all devices. I will talk about how to improve the speed of your website later.

"Everyone can't be good in every field. But your template has to be. This gives the first impression to your visitors."

Your template should support all devices and should look good in all the devices. This is the second thing that have to be kept in mind while choosing the best template for your blog.

    3. Should Be Incredibly Fast:

"The Web Should Be Fast" - Google Inc.

The above quote has been given by Google Inc. and Google is a webmaster. Right ?

So, if your site is slow then forget about good Google page rank. And that is what matters.

So this is one of the most important trick that have to be kept in mind while choosing an effective template for your blog.

    4. Test Images

Just take an example that you have a news website and you haven't used any sliders on your site. Then those visitor who just visited your site for all the news in a glance, won't come again. So depending upon the type of site, sliders should be there. But again, the images used in the slider should be light so that it won't take much of the time to load.

You should always start your website by optimizing your images according to your blog's widgets.

This was an another aspect in 'How To Choose Effective Template For Your Blog'.

    5. Choose A Simple Template

"Your template should be simple but very attractive with required widgets and other sufficient information."

You should never flood your blog with ads or widgets that make your blog Ugly. Choose only fast loading widgets and use only required number of widgets. For example you can check our website, we have put subscribe, one slider and few more widgets only. This will help you to maintain speed of your website.

    6. Ask Your Users

Use Any Rating Widget Or Ask Your Users That How The Template Looks. If They Have Any Trouble.Use Any Contact Us Pages To Make Users Directly Interact With You.

    7. Don't Modify It Too Much

You should never ever modify a template too much as it might make your template look bad. Yes modifications are very good and necessary too but over modifications are not. So you should better watch yourself. The best way to avoid excess modifications is, modify your template and each time check its output. View each time in browser, by this way you will be able to control.

    8. Good Combination Of Colors

Color combination of your website make a great impression on your visitors

Use a good combination of colors that are friendly to the eye. Don't use too much light or too much dark colors. Always try to have combination of color that suits your website.

    9. Don't Flood With Ads

I have seen many bloggers who do blogging for the sake of money. It's not bad to earn money from the work you do but if your focus is only to earn dollars the please read below-

What is a blog and why you started ?

A blog is just a website where we share our ideas, our experience and thoughts with the world.

No doubt who don't want to earn money and it's good too that you are earning for your work. But in between don't forget about your motto when you started it. If you only want to earn money then i think a business website will be good enough rather than a Blog. Its a good practice to use at most 3 ads in a web page. Try to avoid more then 3.

If you want to earn more and more, there are many other ideas which you can apply to your website. For which we will talk about in our incoming articles.

    Conclusion:

So this was all bout How to choose an effective template for your blog. Hope after reading this article, you will be able to choose a best template for you as per your requirement. Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thanks for your valuable time.

Still have any doubts ? Or do you have some more tips with you ? We Are Eagerly waiting for your comments !

How To Protect Your Blog Posts From Being Stolen - The Complete Guide

    Hey Bloggers!

Here i am back with another article which says something about 'How To Protect Your Blog Posts From Being Stolen - The Complete Guide'.
In this article i will be showing you all the steps that you should take to prevent your content from being stolen.

First of all the question that rises in your mind is:
    Why do people copy posts?
    - Simply because Internet is world's biggest copying machine. So, copying is part of Internet's DNA.
And that's the reason people steal your content and never even think about the consequences you will face.

Here are some things that you should do To Protect Your Blog Posts From Being Stolen:

    • Use Copyscape and DMCA badges
    • Watermark your images
    • Prevent Right Clicks   One of the biggest mistake
    • Purchase DMCA Premium account
So these are four steps that you can do to Protect Your Blog Posts From Being Stolen:
Let's Study about each of them in detail:

    1. Use Copyscape and DMCA badges

You can make people aware that copying content is illegal and maybe they will stop copying it but only 10 out of 100 people will stop copying because 90 people will not fear those badges.
Copyscape - Copyscape is one of the best tool to check whether your blog content is similar to another blogs or not.It is ranked No.1 Independent Tests.

DMCA - DMCA is yet another service that criminalizes production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services intended to circumvent measures
